Malcolm has been interested in the strange world of UFOs and the paranormal for as long as he can remember, and in 1979 he formed his own research society entitled, Strange Phenomena Investigations, (SPI). The aims of SPI are to collect, research, and publish, accounts relating to most aspects of strange phenomena, and to purposely endevour to try and come up with some answers to account for what at present eludes us.

France (Strasbourg) Holland (Utrecht) Ireland (Carrick on Shannon & Galway) Malcolm is also one of the few people on this planet to have gone down into the depths of Loch Ness in a submarine. Malcolm is also the assistant editor of the Outer Limits Magazine. Malcolm is the first Scotsman to give a lecture on UFOs and the Paranormal on a cruise ship, when he presented two talks to holiday makers on board the Marella Discovery on an East Coast Cruise of the USA and Canada.
